Mario Party 4 (マリオパーティ) is the fourth installment in the Mario Party series and the first to be released for the Nintendo GameCube. The game features eight playable characters from the Mario series, who can be directed on six themed game boards in the game. The objective of the game is to earn as many stars as possible, which are obtained by purchase from predefined space on the game board, or by bonuses. Each character's movement is determined by a roll of a die, with a roll from each player forming a single turn. Each turn in Mario Party 4 is followed by a mini-game, which is competed to earn money for the character, used to buy items and stars.

Problems
Photo Finish: Graphic errors
At the end of the mini game 'Photo Finish' one of the two penguins on the right side is not displayed correctly. Refer issue 11746.
Texture Seams
Texture seams appear on the left edge of message boxes in mini game descriptions. Also happens with 1× IR. Refer issue 8606.
Trace Race Crayon Doesn't Draw
If you play Trace Race with Texture Cache set to Fast or Medium, the crayon won't draw right away, lagging behind your movements. While this doesn't break the game's scoring, it can be quite disorienting. To fix this, set the Texture Cache slider to 'safe'. Refer issue 10705.
Paths of Peril: Shadow Errors
In the mini-game Paths of Peril, some shadows of players or AI opponents are displayed incorrectly if the hack 'Store EFB Copies to Texture only' is activated. To fix the problem, this hack must be disabled.
Z-Fighting
In some rare cases Z-Fighting may occur if the Hack 'Fast depth calculation' is activated. To fix the problem, this hack must be disabled.(For example, Z-Fighting occurs at the end of playing Toad's Midway Madness in single player mode when the player receives his gift.)
Enhancements
Distorted Text Boxes
The texture for the text backdrop will become heavily distorted if Force Texture Filtering is enabled. This is fixed since at least 5.0-10411.
16:9 Widescreen Gecko Code
The built-in Widescreen Hack causes various indirect texture and clipping issues. The following Gecko code works as a replacement, causing fewer issues. To avoid conflicts, make sure that Widescreen Hack is disabled while using this code.

Game Description & Reviews:
OverviewMario Party 3 is another entry in Nintendo's popular party-game series and was one of the last games released for the Nintendo 64. The game had 70 new mini-games, 2 new characters, and a mode that made its first and last appearance.

rates this game: 5/5One of the first mario party games I once played, what differs from the others is the dual mode where you can battle 1 vs 1, and each character has their own different partner (i.e. Mario has Koopa Troopa, Yoshi has Boo and Luigi has goomba). With this new feature it still retains with classic mario party formula, adding new mini-games and items, great game to past time with friends.
SushiBrawl rates this game: 5/5Even though Mario Party 3 is a N64 game, it still stands as one of my favorite Mario Party games. The mingames in this game are just outrageously fun. Mario Party adds more characters, minigames, modes, and a singler player mode to the mix. It's really fun to play with up to 4 people and knowing Mario Party, the game isn't going to dissapoint.
Pontinho rates this game: 3/5Entertaining to say the least. With the exception of battle mode this game is a nice addition to N64 video game library.
Mystics Apprentice rates this game: 3/5When Mario Party 3 came out I was already well engrossed into the Mario Party series, and was excited to try another one out. This game was very much like the other 2, but again with more improvements, but also a few flaws.
Mario Party is basically a board game, with the object of the game is trying to earn the most stars. You move around the board trying to reach stars before your opponents, and win mini games at the end of each turn.
The mini games were better than those of 1 and 2. The first 2 games' mini games were all quite similar, but all the games in Mario Party 3 are quite unique. I actually don't think there's any games in MP3 that were in 1 or 2. This was refreshing, not to mention the games were a bit better and more complex.
Mario Party 3's biggest downfall would be its courses. They were clearly running out of ideas - bad. The difficultly level for each course is high, even for the easiest courses. The only one I played for a long time was Chilly Waters (the easiest one) simply because it was the only one that I could successfully get through. And even then it was challenging. The courses themselves were also just so boring. Especially after playing the first 2 mario parties with such neat, original places.
This game was good, and definitely better than Mario Party 1. I just think they could've thought the courses out better, mainly.

Obviously this is the third game in the Mario Party series. Mario Party is a fun cross between a board game and a minigame collection. The goal is to collect coins (mainly by winning minigames) to buy Stars at certain spaces on the board and then hold the most Stars at the end of the game. You can buy items at shops and use them to improve your standing.. or mess with your rivals!
Mario Party 3 Wii Wading River
Or you can get other characters like Toad or Koopa Troopa to help you knock the other player out in the duel mode.
This time Princess Daisy of Sarsaland and Waluigi from Mario Tennis join the party.
